May 2025 LinkedIn Sprint for Job Seekers

When: May 30 – June 6, 2025 (optional kickoff meeting May 29)

Why: Join fellow job seekers for support and accountability in your use of LinkedIn as a tool for your job search. Networking is one of the most important parts of the job searching in today’s competitive job market. This sprint is designed to help you connect with others who can help you get a foot in the door with your future employer.

How: Participants post on LinkedIn each day and engage with a select number of posts from fellow sprinters (no more feeling like you’re screaming into the void). You’ll receive daily prompts to assist with this process.

Cost: $24 (There is a “pay what you can” for those currently unemployed. Reach out for more details.)

Note: There is always an “incognito option” for job seekers who don’t want to let everyone on LinkedIn know that they’re exploring their next opportunity.

I got so much value out of the sprint—the conversations I had with other participants were amazing. Within a few days of starting the sprint, I got four messages from people interested in working with me, and I am in multiple talks about a variety of interesting-sounding projects. I was blown away by the positive responses I got.

This sprint was a really good use of the LinkedIn network and community. It served many purposes: we all met new people, made new connections, increased our visibility, and above all, kept each other’s spirits up during this difficult time. Thanks for this experience, Sara Kobilka! It was well worth it!

I’m still connected with many of the sprinters I met and they’re still actively engaging with my posts. Thank you for building a community of support that lasts long after the sprint is over.
