It’s coming!!! My podcast, Connecting the Dots with The Renaissance People launches a week from today!
I’m still doing some psychoanalysis on myself to try to figure out why I was so hesitant to pick a date.
It’s not like it is something I can’t change if I want to. No one is making me do this. Well, no one except that voice in the back of my head that has been begging me to do this for five years…
So perhaps it’s that anticipation that has built up. And, of course, I’ll always be a recovering perfectionist. When you combine perfectionism and audio editing, that can be a major time sink. But I’m proactively planning for this.
I’m including the following message to all of my guests.
“I will be editing our conversations slightly to remove major mistakes or disruptions. However, one of the top values of this podcast is authenticity, so I’m not aiming for perfection. This is a real conversation between two Renaissance People.”
I’ve recorded episode 2 with Nancy S. Coddington and episode 3 with Melissa Vining and we survived audio glitches thanks to their patience. Those episodes will be coming later this month and in December.
And as I begin the process of editing them, I’m actually looking forward to leaving in the laughs, the little mistakes, and everything that made them genuine moments of connecting with other intriguingly complex human beings.
